4. Traore Off The Mark
Youngster Bertrand Traore will be delighted after scoring his first Barclays Premier League goal today. With Newcastle seemingly mailing the game in at this point, Chelsea were again able to make a seamless break down the right flank. Azpilicueta sent in a good ball, and Traore was able to beat his marker to the near post and slide the ball into the back of the net.
The forward scored in the FA Cup fixture against MK Dons, but bagged his first league goal with his 84th minute strike against Newcastle. Over the past couple of seasons, Chelsea have come under some criticism for building and maintaining a top youth academy, but not granting those players an opportunity to impress in the first team. With Traore getting off the mark in league play, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek gradually pushing his way into the midfield rotation, maybe more players will get the chance to get more first team action
