5. Chelsea Keep It Close

A 2-1 defeat on the road won’t be seen as the worst result in the world. PSG certainly could have made it worse, but the squad did well to keep the game from getting out of hand. Chelsea fans will remember two years ago when they let a 2-1 margin grow to a 3-1 margin after a late goal from Javier Pastore. That year, the Blues were able to turn around that deficit, and advance with a thrilling performance at Stamford Bridge.

With the away goal rule, Chelsea would advance with a 1-0 home win, something that isn’t too far out the realm of imagination, considering the fact that Terry, Matic and Oscar should all be fully fit for the return fixture. With the Premier League campaign almost meaningless at this point, fans will be hoping that a magical run in the Champions League can be made. The Blues have put themselves in a good position to at least make it to the next stage.
