3. Pedro

Pedro may not be in as tough a spot as Cesc Fabregas, but it is an intriguing position nonetheless. He is also in the squad for this international break and will be hoping to capitalise on recent good form.

The winger joined the Blues in the summer in a daring swoop worth in excess of £20 million. Chelsea fans at the time were taunting their Manchester United counterparts with reports claiming that they had stolen Pedro from under their rival’s nose.

However, by the time the campaign had reached the halfway stage, the celebrations had died down. Pedro had far from impressed, succumbing to injury fairly frequently as well.

Fortunately, he has found his feet in recent weeks and despite another knock, the forward is looking upwards. He will need to continue in the same vein if he is to fight off competition that may not be star-studded, but is certainly talented.

Celta Vigo’s Nolito has been in fine form, racking up nine goals and six assists in La Liga thus far. Furthermore, a bunch of players who are technically listed as midfielders could easily be deployed out on the wings. The likes of Santi Cazorla, David Silva, Juan Mata and Koke have all been utilised in such a role at some point or another and thus Pedro will need to show that he is more effective than them.
