4. Pedro bags a brace

At the beginning of the year, Pedro Rodriguez was thought to be the signing that would solidify Chelsea’s status at the top of the league. The Blues had nearly an identical squad, and added an accomplished winger to boot. After a fast start, his performance dipped, and he arguably never quite reached the levels expected of him upon arrival.

He did his best to win back the favor of some fans by bagging a brace. Pedro will also be one of the players looking to impress in this run of games to end the season. With the poor form shown throughout the campaign and the quick trigger of Roman Abramovich, no player will feel completely safe.

Given that he still under the age of 30, he can also consider himself as one of the potential columns around which the new side is built. He has tonnes of experience and proven quality so if he can show that he still has what it takes, then this may very well be the case.
