5. Pedro – Ajitesh Rasgotra

Pedro must be ruing his decision to leave Barcelona at this moment in time. The Spaniard has experienced a bizarre season in his first exploits without the Catalans, joining a squad in awful form and underperforming himself.

His arrival in the summer was celebrated excessively by Blues fans, especially given the fact that he was stolen from right under Manchester United’s noses. After scoring on his debut, he quickly became the butt of jokes from United fans as he flailed and disappointed.

The winger has found his feet in recent weeks, but he still has much to prove. It is unlikely that he will be sold after just one season, but his status within the squad is on the line.

Chelsea are in need of a rebuild over the summer. With that, they need players around whom to structure a side. Given Pedro’s wealth of experience and success, he should be the ideal candidate. However, if he is not a regular starter, then this simply cannot happen.

As a result, the 28-year-old needs to prove that he is a world-class talent who doesn’t have to be surrounded by the likes of Lionel Messi. He has certainly progressed in recent weeks, but there is still much to do.
