Chelsea FC loanee Jamal Blackman accused of drunk-driving
Chelsea FC loanee Jamal Blackman has been put under arrest in Sweden after being accused of drunk driving. He is currently on loan at Ostersunds FK.
This is certainly not the reason why you want to be in the news. Chelsea FC prospect Jamal Blackman has reportedly been arrested in Sweden after being caught driving under the influence. The academy graduate is currently plying his trade with Ostersunds FK on loan.
Dream Team FC is the source of the story, as they claim that police arrested the goalkeeper early on Sunday morning.
"Jamal Blackman has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving…ÖFK club chairman Daniel Kindberg issued a statement saying he was “very let down” by the incident, and revealed he was waiting to discuss further action with Chelsea."

The 22-year-old started the campaign in Chelsea’s first team squad, but was sent out to the Swedish side in March. He has already made eleven appearances for the Swedish outfit, but his future with them remains uncertain following this incident.
If he is proven to be guilty, this is a very poor decision from Blackman, not just in a career sense. Drunk driving is blatantly reckless behaviour that endangers the lives of both the driver and those around him/her.
As the report states, he will be awaiting further action from OFK and his parent club. Given that he is already 22, the youthful exuberance argument will hold little ground and he should expect to face ramifications for this brush with the law.
Moving forward, it seems as though he has little future at Stamford Bridge. An incident like this will only further this sentiment.
