The Strikers

Alvaro Morata is another one of the players who is very in vogue this silly season. Apparently every one from PSG to Manchester United and Arsenal as well as Chelsea are interested in the player.

Every time I have seen Morata play he looks decent, but the complications with his sale will be interesting. Real Madrid want to buy the player back from Juventus, exercising their buy-back clause.

They had previously been rumored to be intent on selling the player at a profit but as of most recent reports they want him at the Bernabeu more long term. It’s hard to get a judgement on this one but Chelsea are absolutely in the race for the player.

I’m not sure how well he will combine with Diego Costa up front as they have relatively similar styles. The Juventus striker that I really want is Paulo Dybala but that seems unlikely.

Next, the player who never should have left. Romelu Lukaku is rumored to be returning to the Bridge for something close to £60 million. This is a move I like because I quite frankly would like to see Chelsea accept the fault for many of the idiotic sales that happened in recent years and get their identity back.

Lukaku represents an interesting combination of size and skill and youth. He also reportedly feels he has a point to prove at Chelsea and any player with the kind of motivation is sorely needed in this current squad.

This deal could certainly happen. Conte is a known fan of the player and Lukaku is a Chelsea supporter. Of the rumors that have been rumored all year this one makes sense. It would definitely be a better option than getting the very similar but ultimately less talented Christian Benteke.

Finally, we move on to a player whom Chelsea were linked with earlier in the transfer window but has since fallen by the wayside, Ajax starlet Riechedly Bazoer. This was rumored more when Gus Hiddink was still in charge.

Bazoer is a prospect that I love. He is genuinely two footed and his range of passing is unbelievable. He demonstrates great judgment and reading of the game already for a player his age as well.

Of him, Pogba, Tielemans and Gomes I personally believe that Bazoer could be the best fit for Chelsea. A midfield of him and Loftus-Cheek could form the backbone of Chelsea for more than a decade and would provide enough industry to support Cesc Fabregas week in and week out.
