Ricardo Carvalho: 2004-2010

Appearances: 210
Trophies: Premier League (3), FA Cup (3), League Cup (2), Community Shield (2)

Ricardo Carvalho started his professional career with a series of loans away from his youth club, Porto. Under Jose Mourinho at Porto, Carvalho became one of Portugal’s top players and one of the most sought-after players in the world.

Carvalho followed Mourinho to Chelsea, with Chelsea outbidding Manchester United, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona for the defender’s services. In his first two seasons at Chelsea, his partnership in central defense with John Terry backstopped the Blues to consecutive Premier League titles.

Carvalho stayed with the Blues until 2010, when he reunited once again with Jose Mourinho, this time at Real Madrid.
