If you’re reading this, you probably already know plenty about Jose Mourinho. In fact, you might wonder if Chelsea fans have developed their own case of Mourinho Derangement Syndrome. He’s gone, long gone, he’s now with the enemy … and yet we still can’t stop talking about him.

Few if any of the players listed above would have come to Chelsea if not for Mourinho. Setting aside his relationship with some of them at Porto and any kinship he feels towards his fellow Portuguese, he made Chelsea a destination for these players and others from around the world.

One of the many hopes of the Antonio Conte era is that he will enable Chelsea to move on from the Mourinho era: not just from the drama and strife, but by creating a new golden age for Chelsea separate from Mourinho’s accomplishments.

New trophies, new records, new highly-watchable meme-worthy press conferences.

And maybe even a few Andrew Lloyd Webber-inspired YouTube videos.
