It was assumed Kenedy would be one of the hybrid-type players that Conte would covet but so far the young Brazilian hasn’t found much playing time at all. When he has featured, he’s been largely unnoticed.

I’m choosing to blame his manbun.

Sure, the teacher might’ve thrown a pop quiz his way but that’s no excuse for practicing karate atop your desk. Loftus-Cheek seems to have the same drawback no matter where he plays: a nonexistent work rate.

Now playing as a second striker, it’s this lack of engagement that’s slowing his decision making. So far the big kid has given the ball away far more times than he’s kicked it at goal.
