Chelsea player ratings after tight EFL Cup win over Bristol Rovers

Chelsea were involved in another tight contest on Tuesday night as they beat Bristol Rovers 3-2 in the EFL Cup. Here are the Chelsea player ratings.

Chelsea opened their EFL Cup campaign in exclusive fashion on Tuesday night. The match was off-broadcast, so only those in attendance at Stamford Bridge were able to watch the game as it happened.

Fortunately, this was one of the few games that I pitched up to (mostly because a ticket didn’t cost me a house). That means you will have to rely on yours truly for the Chelsea player ratings and take my word as gospel.

Goalkeeper

GK. Bosnia and Herzegovina. ASMIR BEGOVIC. 6. <p>Asmir Begovic was used to seeing his goal peppered last season and it was the same for him on Tuesday. Bristol Rovers managed to get a reasonable amount of efforts on target, scoring two of them. The first was a decent header into the corner while the second was a penalty. You can’t blame Begovic for either.</p>
