Victor Moses was given a chance to show that he can play well in a competitive environment. The Nigerian did alright, to be fair, although some atrocious second-half moments tempered the display. He doesn’t seem to have a left-foot either. Anyway, a goal is good. We like goals.
. RM. Nigeria. VICTOR MOSES. 6.5

6.
Nemanja Matic didn’t do much, but he was spared the ignominy of flailing around in an attacking midfield role. This meant that he flailed around with the ball further away from the box instead, which resulted in more passes and less scuffed shots.
. CM. Serbia. NEMANJA MATIC

Spain. CESC FABREGAS. 6.5.
After changing the game against Watford at the weekend, Cesc Fabregas trotted out for his first start of the season. It wasn’t as impressive as was hoped. In fact, I struggled to see him overly involved from my vantage point in the East Stand. But that probably has something to do with the railing in front of me.
. CM

4.
Nah. I’ve seen enough.
. LM. Spain. PEDRO
