Chelsea and Antonio Conte continued their 100% start to the season by beating newly promoted Burnley 3-0, the score could have been much bigger but the Blues are nonetheless topping the table (albeit temporarily) with 9 points.
Let’s look at the ratings of the boys in Blue:

Finally a clean-sheet for the Belgian goalkeeper. A spectator for most of the game, solid when rarely called upon.. Goalkeeper. . THIBAUT COURTOIS. 6/10

6/10. Given the green light to go forward by Antonio Conte, combined well with Willian but saw a lot of his crosses get deflected by Burnley players. . Right-Back. . BRANISLAV IVANOVIC

7/10. A quiet game for the England vice-captain with Burnley happy to sit back for most of the games, dealt well with Gray. A couple of good long balls to Hazard . Center-Back. . GARY CAHILL

7/10. Kept Vokes quiet throughout the game, made a very good last ditch tackle against Gray. Missed an open goal. Solid display for the skipper nonetheless.. Center-Back. . JOHN TERRY

7/10. Very solid at the back, suffered a bit towards the end against combinations of Lowton and Boyd but stayed composed. Great linkups with Matic and Hazard.. Left-Back. . CESAR AZPILICUETA

N'GOLO KANTE. 8/10. Kante’s introduction to Chelsea has been like a water droplet into a lake : it seems like he’s been here for ages because he is so comfortable winning the ball back and combining with Oscar and Matic. Very good performance, albeit against a very defensive and shy Burnley.. Defensive Midfielder.

Made up for a dubious performance against Bristol Rovers with a very dominating performance. Unlike under Mourinho, he was given a more advanced role and showed great aptitudes.. Central Midfielder. . NEMANJA MATIC. 8/10

7/10. Selected ahead of Fabregas, Oscar quickly proved Conte right by passing left and right, and putting efficient pressure during the rare times Burnley had the ball. Operated in a more free-roaming ball-winner role and showed incredible work-rate.. Central Midfielder. . OSCAR

Winger. . EDEN HAZARD. 9/10. Put all the “is he back?” doubters six feet underground with a dominating, man-of-the match performance. Could have easily gotten the first hat-trick of the season if it weren’t from some heroics by the Burnley keeper. Very vibrant throughout the game.

. WILLIAN BORGES DA SILVA. 7/10. Lacked directness during the first half up until he doubled the score with a stunning shot. With his usual great ball protection ability, the Brazilian managed to keep the momentum of the countless Chelsea attacking waves. . Winger

Striker. . DIEGO COSTA. 7/10. Very wasteful with his shots but managed a very assured shift as holding forward, laying out good balls for Hazard and even getting an assist in the process.

7/10. Added to the scoreline late-on. Came in for Willian and added more directness to a Chelsea team that was starting to sit back and allow Burnley to attack . Winger. . VICTOR MOSES

Striker. . MICHY BATSHUAYI. N/A. Like-for-like replacement for Costa, came with 10 minutes on the clock and didn’t have much time to make an impact

N/A. Provided the assist for the third goal, didn’t do much else with 10 minutes to play. Winger. . PEDRO
