Leicester City may have had one eye on their midweek Champions League clash, but Chelsea were clinical in their 3-0 win. The team have taken to Antonio Conte’s new formation and the results are there for all to see. Here are four lessons we can take from the victory.

Leave Antonio alone

Antonio Conte knows what he is doing. He always knew what he was doing and those who didn’t think so, well, that says more about you than it does about him. Antonio Conte has Chelsea moving in the right direction quickly. They are playing cohesive and elegant football while moving up the table to the respectable places again.

Antonio Conte’s ability to suit the formation to his needs is a good trait to have and this season Chelsea have played in a variety of systems. The team is gelling just as much to Conte as he is to them. In this match for the first time Chelsea looked like a team that was rolling on all cylinders.

The last few days has been full of bizarre rumours suggesting that the Blues were on the verge of sacking the Italian. With performances like this, that idea seems inconceivable.
