His ability to get past people was on display, as was his ability to put in good crosses. However, he also misplaced a few passes on ocassion. 9. Allowed freedom in the centre of the pitch, Fabregas’ full range of passing was on display. On another day he easily could have had 4-5 assists but today he had to settle for two. 8. Marco van Ginkel was asked to provide the industry in midfield and he worked well alongside Fabregas . He displayed his passing ability and goalscoring instinct on multiple ocassions as he got on the end of a few crosses and set pieces. In the 90th minute, he waited on the edge of the box for the ball to arrive and finished superbly, scoring the best of three excellent goals.
