8. The U23 captain initially played as a the right wingback and in the final minutes shifted into a central role. As the most senior development squad player on the pitch at this level, he showed good calm and composure on the ball and put in a few great crosses. A consistent display from the youngster who is set to be awarded a new contract with a loan move to Vitesse on the cards.
. 39. England. FANKATY DABO

England. OLA AINA. 7. Aina continues to play as a left wingback, a role he is accustomed to at the U23 levels. His ability to get past people was on display, as was his ability to put in good crosses. However, he also misplaced a few passes on ocassion. That said, his physical and technical attributes show that he can be a great wingback.
. 34

9. Allowed freedom in the centre of the pitch, Fabregas’ full range of passing was on display. On another day he easily could have had 4-5 assists but today he had to settle for two. His set pieces were excellent, his passing crisp and sharp and he was not afraid to get stuck in to win the ball. An encouraging 90 minutes from the Spaniard.
. 4. Spain. CESC FABREGAS

8. Marco van Ginkel was asked to provide the industry in midfield and he worked well alongside Fabregas . He displayed his passing ability and goalscoring instinct on multiple ocassions as he got on the end of a few crosses and set pieces. In the 90th minute, he waited on the edge of the box for the ball to arrive and finished superbly, scoring the best of three excellent goals. Maybe Conte can find a use for him in the first team, especially if Fabregas and Mikel John Obi depart in January.. 8. Netherlands. MARCO VAN GINKEL
