Chelsea are looking to reach a perfect ten this evening in the their Premier League winning streak. Here are some predictions for the contest.

Antonio Conte and Chelsea are on the quest for ten consecutive Premier League wins. Three points against Sunderland on Wednesday night will allow them to reach that milestone. Here is how The Pride of London writers think the game will play out.

Andre Carlisle: 1-0, Sunderland. The Rock never skips leg day and the dark arts don’t skip a match between top and bottom. Also, the Blues may need it. The only teams to have more goals from penalties this season than Sunderland are Liverpool, Leicester, and Spurs. Defoe’s movement is still good and Azpilicueta versus Anichebe is a valid worry. With rotation expected and short rest, it won’t be the romp the table suggests. Chelsea need late heroics again but get the win, 2-1.

Travis Tyler: 3-0. The last time Sunderland looked like a team that would avoid relegation was 2011. Chelsea are first, Sunderland are 20th, case closed.

Daniel McClue: 2-2. Short rest and both squads with minor tweaks results in this game being a classic. End -to-end stuff for the majority of the contest means Chelsea leave satisfied with a point. Batshuayi and Hazard with the goals for the Blues.

Scott Brant: 2-0 Chelsea. The Blues continue on the path of excellence. Even the likes of Defoe won’t keep Sunderland in it. Blues cruise with minimal resistance.

More from The Pride of London

Khaled Abdallah: Chelsea roll 3-0. Sunderland are improving and have won some games to feel a little better about their situation but a run-in with the Blues won’t help.

Barrett Rouen: I don’t see this going any way other than a 2-0 win. Sunderland are a total mess this year and that’s all there really is to it.

Ayushman Basu: 3-0 Blues. Conte may rotate the squad for this as Sunderland are not in the best shape at the moment. Or being Conte, he may field the same eleven just to be sure and safe. A comfortable win for Chelsea which will consolidate their position at the top of the table.

Ben Croft: Can’t see anything but another win. We’re going to have to play a lot better than we did against West Brom but Sunderland will be more open than what West Brom were. I can see another clean sheet with a 3-0 win. Costa 2, Luiz free kick (he’s due one!)

Brendan McDonnell: 2-0. Sunderland are dead last. The Blues are in first…2-0 should be our worst case scenario. Can we talk about Kenedy coming back? I think this 3-4-3 system fits him perfectly and yes, I’m looking right at you Marcos Alonso.
