Chelsea are being linked with a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Yannick Carrasco. The Belgian would be a fantastic addition to the Blues.
While cruising at the top of the Premier League, attention is already turning to next season. Chelsea are being linked with a bid for Ateltico Madrid star, Yannick Carrasco, a player who can add a lot to Antonio Conte’s West London project.
The Sun reports that the Blues are joining Arsenal, PSG and Bayern Munich in a race for the winger, who has severely impressed over the last two seasons.
"Arsenal and Chelsea lead the pack of clubs from the Premier League in the hunt for Carrasco’s signature. But they will face stiff competition if they want to get their man with both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain also tracking the wide man."
Carrasco joined Atletico in the summer of 2015, coming over from AS Monaco. He made over 40 competitive appearances in the 2015/16 campaign and is on track for a similar tally this season.

The Belgian has been a fantastic support for Antoine Griezmann, but he has also shown enough potential to be a superstar is his own right.
With superb close control, Carrasco is not afraid to take on defenders. Furthermore, his pace provides his colleagues with multiple ways to play the ball. They can either give it to feet, or stick it over the top for him to chase down.
At the age of 23, Carrasco’s career is in its infancy. However, that means a hefty bid will be required to pry him away from Atletico. The report suggests that a fee in the region of €40 million would bring Atletico to the negotiating table.
In modern market conditions, such a demand is not that extreme. Carrasco also has a knack for turning up in big games, as proven by his late equaliser in the 2016 Champions League final.
While Willian and Pedro provide copious amounts of industry, Carrasco adds another much-needed dimension to Chelsea’s attacking third. Having played under Diego Simeone, his workrate and defensive efforts are sound. However, he does have the ability to beat a few players and take a shot, if not playing a teammate in.
