Chelsea take on Wolves: Predictions for FA Cup clash
Chelsea take on Wolves this Saturday in a Fifth Round FA Cup clash. With changes in the team expected, here are our score predictions.
After a hard-fought draw at Turf Moor, Chelsea switch their attention to the FA Cup this weekend. Wolves are the opponents and having knocked Liverpool out in the last round, they will be hungry for another Premier League scalp. Here are score predictions from The Pride Of London staff!
Daniel McClue: 5-0. A lull at the weekend means the B team will be even more determined to prove their worth. Cesc Fabregas and Nathan Ake get the first two goals before halftime. Michy Batshuayi gets a second half hattrick but the media credits one of the goals to Chalobah. Either way, Wolves get bitten by a rabid Chelsea.
Rayna Sidhu: 3-1. This is Chelsea’s first away fixture of the tournament. Wolves will be motivated by their result from the last round so a goal from them is likely. The Blues will keep composure and cruise through the 90 minutes. Batshuayi and Fabregas with the first goals. Chalobah will get the third. The game is set for his performance to make me think that I may have been wrong about him.

Andre Carlisle: 2-0. After the weirdness at Burnley I’ve decided to do a Conte and give the dark arts a few days off. Plus, all respect to Wolves yadda yadda, the Blues should be able to get by the Championship’s 18th-place squad with a decent amount of comfort. Batshuayi copes well with the physicality of the league again and gets himself another goal and Chalobah hits a stunner from outside of the box.
Travis Tyler: 4-0. Four goal differences are in vogue this week, and Chelsea will continue the trend. Even away, Wolves should offer the Blues a similar challenge as Brentford, so it should be a routine day.
Barrett Rouen: 2-0. What will be an opportunity to rest a lot of the usual players and start some of the youth will be a tightly contested match that isn’t reflected by the comfortable scoreline.
Ajitesh Rasgotra: 3-0. Wolves will be game, but the draw against Burnley will spur them on to a comfortable three-goal victory.
Ben Croft: 2-0. I’m expecting a professional performance. We won’t be like Liverpool and play 11 reserve players. It’ll be a good lineup and a solid win. Willian with a double.
