Chelsea should pursue Isco as playmaking solution
With rumours suggesting that Chelsea are in the hunt for Real Madrid playmaker Isco, the Blues should do what they can to sign the Spaniard.
One of the latest players to be linked with a switch to the Premier League is Isco. The Real Madrid midfielder has not enjoyed the best of times at the Santiago Bernabeu recently and appears keen to move. Chelsea are in the running and should pursue the playmaker fervently.
According to The Sun, Isco’s representatives have already spoken to the Blues and Italian giants, Juventus.
"Chelsea have also made contact with the player’s agent to tempt him to London, while Italian giants Juventus are also monitoring his situation. Either way a decision needs to be made soon as Isco will only have a year left on his current deal at the end of the season, and Real Madrid will want to command a large fee."
The 24-year-old has failed to kick on with Real Madrid. Isco has promised so much throughout his career, but he is not getting the playing time he needs and deserves. Hence, his frustration is leading him to evaluate options elsewhere.

With only one year left on his contract, there is an opportunity for the Blues to sign a top quality player for a bargain fee. Isco has shown glimpses of his potential in the Spanish capital, but he desperately requires regular football.
Chelsea’s sole playmaking threat comes via Eden Hazard. However, much has been discussed about his consistency. Signing Isco would create a dynamic duo and reinforce the Blues when the Belgian has a bad day.
Moreover, Isco can sit centrally alongside N’Golo Kante and, unlike Cesc Fabregas, he provides impressive levels of industry as well.
Midfield and wingback are the two areas of concern for the Blues. With the Champions League expanding the schedule next season, Chelsea need a much deeper squad to help them through the campaign.
Importantly, they need quality players to rely upon when the time for rotation comes calling. Isco may initially be part of that backup platoon, but he will probably replace the likes of Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas when he gets up to speed.
