Swansea have a way of tripping up the Blues in recent contests. How confident are you that Chelsea will take all three points and ruin Paul Clement’s homecoming?

The ghosts of Eva Carneiro, that ball boy and Matt Miazga hang heavily over the Chelsea-Swansea fixture. Despite vast disparities in quality, the Swans have emerged as Chelsea’s bogey team over the last few seasons. Disappointing results and ludicrous – sometimes litigious – incidents mar what should be an easy three points.

As Antonio Conte looks to keep Manchester City at least eight points away, we offer our predictions for how the affair will play out.

Daniel Mcclue: Chelsea 2 – 2 Swansea. It’s that point in the season where I, perhaps unnecessarily, get crazy nervous for games that should be easy wins. Swansea are Chelsea’s bogey team, but not Diego Costa’s. He gets the two Blues goals. The Belgian contingent has a nasty habit of capitulating against the Swans, as did Cahill earlier in the season. I’m scared.

Scott Brant: 3 – 1. With the Swans seemingly having the Blues number as of late, it’s imperative Conte’s men get the three points. Diego Costa and Eden Hazard had a discussion and decided they would both go off this week. Costa with a brace and Hazard with three assists.

Travis Tyler: 2 – 1. Chelsea are starting to stall a bit, but as much as Swansea has improved, they will be unable to overcome the league leaders. They will have a go of it, but Hazard will find a brace against his personal nemesis team as Diego Costa continues his dip in form.

Rayna Sidhu: 2 – 1. Swansea know how to cause problems for Chelsea and are on a good run. There is slight pressure on some of the Blues to get back to old, dominating ways. Costa will rise to the challenge and get a goal from a Hazard assist. Pedro will score the other. Thibaut Courtois will concede, though, but it won’t stop his side from snatching the three points.

Andre Carlisle: 1 – 2. Renewed, refreshed, and sunburned, the dark arts are back. Though you never want any difficult tasks on your desk your first day back, the darkness will have to deal. Swansea always play Chelsea tough and, quiet is as kept, they’ve collected more points than the Blues since the introduction of their THIRD manager. Chelsea fight and scrap and the Swans prove to not be as indomitable as Burnley at home (*flips table*) and pull out a winner, 2-1.
