Chelsea host Manchester United: Who is going to Wembley?
Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge on Monday night, with a spot in a FA Cup semi-final at stake. Who will be going to Wembley?
After a 4-0 thumping earlier in the season, Jose Mourinho will be eager for his Manchester United side to avenge that humiliation. Chelsea, meanwhile, will be looking to continue their dominating form and progress to the FA Cup semi-finals. We passed through the virtual Pride Of London office to get some score predictions from our writers!
Travis Tyler: 1-0. The Blues will dominate the match, but have trouble scoring. Without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United will fail to convert their chances and Jose will scream about how defensive Chelsea are as the Blues win courtesy of a Victor Moses goal.
Daniel McClue: 2-1 United. Both managers field a full strength side, with the Red Devils getting the win thanks to four controversial decisions given in their favour. Mourinho will go on about this victory for decades, especially after Conte loses his temper and RKO’s him at the final whistle.

Scott Brant: 2-1. After the last meeting which was undoubtedly embarrassing for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United, Antonio Conte and the Blues will get a deserved win and send Jose packing. The Chelsea skipper celebrates by running around the outside of the entire pitch giving a high five to every fan/supporter. Jose’s face turns devil red. Eden Hazard nets the winner.
Rayna Sidhu: 2-1. Ibrahimovic being suspended has eased my nerves, but only slightly. This will be a tense game and Chelsea will have to work hard for the win. Mourinho will be out to prove a point but Conte deserves to take this Chelsea side to Wembley. Costa and Hazard with the goals for the Blues.
Andre Carlisle: 2-1 United. I hesitate to use the dark arts here because the #MAGICOFTHECUP could combine with them to inadvertently open a portal of untold horrors upon humanity. However, Jose Mourinho has grown more annoying with age, so if three-headed demons with Wayne Rooney’s face on each become commonplace, blame him. United have found a stride and though they can’t dig out of 6th in the PL, they’re dangerous. Our 4-0 win will provide no template for expectations – this will look beyond Chelsea until our defense springs a counter because that’s all we do now isn’t it Jose? 1-0 Blues.
Eric Overbey: 2-1. Conte yells at his players. Jose yells at the ref and Conte. In the 43rd minute a rogue ball strikes Jose in the head. He falls to the ground like an expert Ashley Young impersonator. All video evidence points to Victor Moses being the suspect, but Jose claims it was Eden. To protest the injustice, Jose only sends out Rooney and De Gea for the second half. De Gea makes 18 saves and Rooney chews him out for not contributing to the buildup play. Jose’s assistant does the post match press conference and blames it on Chelsea’s lack of European football.
Brendan McDonnell: 2-0. With Mourinho apparently starting Ole Gunnar Solskjær up front, who knows? Anyhow, my guess is that he is going to try to run the Liverpool in 2014 playbook on Chelsea. Except, there is no chance Kante pulls a Slippy G. This one will not be a fun watch aside from the result.
