We wrap up our third-quarter grades of every player under some form of contract at Chelsea with the domestic loan army. These players are closer to home, but are they any closer to Stamford Bridge?

Chelsea’s loan army in England saw the most turnover during the January transfer window. Antonio Conte recalled Nathan Ake and Kenedy, the former from a solid loan at Bournemouth and the latter from a go-nowhere loan at Watford. Neither have yet to do much at Chelsea, though, other than wonder why they are there.

Some of Chelsea’s youngsters shuffled around the Championship and lower leagues, while others went out into the world for the first time. Here are our grades for Chelsea’s loan army in England for the third-quarter.

Premier League and Championship

D. He returned from injury, but has seen most minutes from the bench and has yet to score. There was no question that he would leave Chelsea, but now the Premier League might be out of reach.. F. Crystal Palace. LOIC REMY

ST. Bristol City. TAMMY ABRAHAM. A. Bristol City have been bad, but not for the lack of Abraham’s goals. The Englishman can put them away but is still a bit raw at times, and next season that will be addressed at Chelsea or on loan.

He has had a lot of minutes, but has not shown much to suggest he will be in Chelsea’s plans. A permanent transfer to Newcastle and a chance in the Premier League next season is best for all parties.. FW. Newcastle United. CHRISTIAN ATSU. B

B. Brown traded the sinking ship of Rotherham for the rising tide of Huddersfield, and has been their focal point. If they earn promotion, he should stay at Huddersfield and take on the Premier League.. FW. Huddersfield Town. ISAIAH BROWN

A. Kalas is Fulham’s star defender and is enjoying the minutes they give him. He wants stability in his career now, and though Fulham is a bit below his level, it is likely the loan becomes permanent.. DF. Fulham. TOMAS KALAS

Huddersfield Town. KASEY PALMER. N/A. Palmer has spent almost the entire quarter injured, and has seen Brown take his spot and overshadow him. Another Championship loan is probably in his future as he tries to get a foothold again.<br />. MF

A. Like Kalas, Piazon is loved at Fulham and wants stability in his career. This makes him likely to sign a permanent deal after never quite being able to reach the level needed for Chelsea.. ST. Fulham. LUCAS PIAZON

Brighton and Hove Albion. FIKAYO TOMORI. D. It is hard for defenders on loan to get minutes unless they are starters. An own goal in Tomori’s first start has not helped things, showcasing how the move may have been too ambitious for him.. DF
