The latest Chelsea transfer news sees Real Madrid ramp up interest in N’Golo Kante while Diego Costa’s happiness in London comes into question.

The transfer rumour mill continues to churn out stories as the end of the season nears. Chelsea seem to be constantly battling rumours surrounding Eden Hazard, Antonio Conte and Diego Costa. The latter appears once again in the latest reports, while Real Madrid are apparently lining up N’Golo Kante.

Speaking to SFR Sport, Costa revealed that he isn’t wholly pleased with how life is going in London.

"I am happy at Chelsea, I am not necessarily saying that I am happy with my life in London, but that is something completely different. It has nothing to do with it. – via Metro"

While he maintains that he is content at Stamford Bridge, his personal satisfaction is also key. If Costa is not particularly enjoying the capital in general, this indicates that he will leave as soon as the right opportunity arises.

However, many Blues fans wouldn’t mind that. After a scintillating start, Costa has reverted to his old habits in recent weeks. He has fluffed his lines on multiple occasions while committing reckless and unnecessary fouls up and down the field.

As the Blues re-tool for a hectic 2017/18 campaign, there is a growing section of supporters who would like to see his back once a passable bid comes in.

One player no-one will want to see leaving, though, is N’Golo Kante. The Frenchman has picked up where he left off last season and has been vital to Chelsea’s success. Without Kante, the club’s Premier League lead would not be so significant, if they had a lead at all.

His performances have now caught the eye of Real Madrid. Metro are picking up on reports over in France that suggest that the Spanish giants are ready to make a move.

"Le10 Sport, via Sport Witness, claim that Madrid have registered their interest to the Premier League leaders, who have no intention of selling their key player. But the report claims that a bid in the region of £51 million could be enough for Chelsea to accept."

This latter deal seems unfathomable, even if Madrid lay £50 million down on the table. Kante has once again proven himself to be worth the Premier League title.
