Andrea Belotti – Ajitesh Rasgotra

Andrea Belotti is the man of the moment. The Blues have reportedly had a mega £50 million bid rejected by Torino already.

Belotti has burst onto the scene this season, scoring 26 goals in 31 competitive appearances. The 23-year-old has demonstrated a killer finishing touch and a mature head, helping Torino to a comfortable mid-table position.

His stock has been shooting and a number of clubs are pursuing him. At his age, he truly looks like a player who could service Chelsea for a decade.

Moreover, he is perfect for either of Antonio Conte’s systems. He can play as the lone striker in the current 3-4-3, or he is equally adept at partnering up as the second man should Conte switch to the 3-5-2.

There is no doubt that he will make a dent in the Blues’ purse, but he could be worth it in the long run. Costa was bought as an old, injury-prone striker for nearly £30 million but he has repaid his transfer fee. Belotti could provide Chelsea with goals for several more years.
