Chelsea are looking to win the Premier League title on Friday in the magnificent surroundings of the Hawthorns. Will the Blues get over that finish line?

The finish line is one small step away. A win against West Brom on Friday night will secure the Premier League crown for Chelsea. Will Antonio Conte’s men be able to dispatch a Baggies side with little to play for? Let’s see what The Pride Of London writers think…

Daniel McClue: 6-0. We should all be way more nervous for this game than we are. West Brom are a good side, Tony Pulis is a good manager, and they play at home. Despite that, the Blues come out firing; goals from Hazard, Kante, Azpilicueta and Pedro in the first 16 minutes set them on their way to [redacted]. Costa and Moses score in the second half. To the shock of everyone at the full time whistle, the West Brom manager takes his Tony Pulis mask off to reveal it was Jose Mourinho all along! The Special One takes credit for the win and the season, ruining everyone’s buzz. It at least explained why Kante scored.

Scott Brant: 4-0. Let’s get down to the business! This is the match the players, coaches, and fans have been waiting for all season. The title-deciding 90 minute match. There is not a shred of doubt in my mind that they will turn up prepared. It’s not if they win, but by how much? Costa will score a hat trick and then sit on the bench until someone tells him his cab to the airport has arrived. I already have my bottle on ice.

More from The Pride of London

Travis Tyler: 9-0. Costa, Hazard, Azpilicueta, Matic, Pedro, LuIz, AlOnso, KaNte and FabregaS to score, in that order. Championagne on ice.

Kee Min: 2-0. Conte’s team will get the job done, undoubtedly. The only question remaining is: what will be the final score? Costa gives Chelsea fans a nice sending off present with a brace.

Andre Carlisle: 1-0, West Brom. Blessings from darkness intentionally never seem like blessings. Evil ceases to be evil when it brings you joy, so instead it opts for relief. Chelsea have to do it on a cold, rainy Friday night in the West Midlands against Satan’s uncle, Tony Pulis. None of that is ideal. West Brom will be looking to wave goodbye to the home support for the last time this season by frustrating the league leaders. Any slip-up leaves the door open for Jose Mourinho to hand Chelsea the title on Sunday, which he’ll surely reference behind a smirk so twisted it’s perpendicular with his nose. Chelsea will need to stay calm and throw everything at the Baggies. It’s tight and annoying, they score first but late heroics from Hazard and Kante let the Blues limp away as [redacted]. 2-1 Chelsea.

Barrett Rouen: 5-0. Chelsea will come out of the gates with the sort of fire only Antonio Conte can inspire. They clinch the league title and somehow Michy Batshuayi still doesn’t get on the pitch.
