Chelsea welcome Sunderland to Stamford Bridge for their final Premier League game of the campaign. Will the Blues keep their momentum going?
Some may view this as a Premier League party, but Antonio Conte will understand the importance. As the final game before Chelsea take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final, the Blues will be eager to build on their momentum. Here are some predictions from The Pride Of London staff.
Daniel McClue: 4-0. Conte starts a full strength lineup apart from departing captain John Terry playing in the middle of the three. His final game as a blue ends with him scoring a hattrick, including two penalties. Matic scores the fourth in what might also be his last game as a blue.
Andre Carlisle: 6-0. As a dress rehearsal for a FA Cup Final and celebration of winning the Premier League, and against the worst team in said league, this one will get a bit out of hand. Sunderland will start out with all of the resolve of a team preparing to spoil a celebration that’s already planned, but after Hazard scores after some typical Hazard’ing, the floodgates open. Diego gets two, Cahill nods one in, Pedro scores something silly and Willian gets another to honor his Mom. We cry, we laugh, we celebrate.

Scott Brant: 4-1. The boys will go out and have all kinds of fun. As evidenced by numerous flicks and tricks by relaxed players in last Monday’s match. I hope our Captain. Leader. Legend. gets minutes and the standing ovation he deserves. The celebration following the match is a well deserved recognition of all their hard work.
Travis Tyler: 2-0. The Blues will score early to start the party early. Sunderland will bask in the glow of the exact opposite of what they are.
Barrett Rouen: 5-0. The young guns will be impressive playing against a group of saddened and broken men who already know their fate.
