Andreas Christensen could leave Chelsea for Inter Milan
With a raft of Chelsea youngsters heading for the Stamford Bridge exit, the highly rated Andreas Christensen could be the next prodigy on his way out.
Bertrand Traore, Nathan Ake and Dominic Solanke have already departed the Blues this summer. Now, Andreas Christensen could be the next youngster to leave Chelsea for pastures new.
The Express, citing sources in Italy, claims that Inter Milan are interested in a move for the Dane as his future with the Blues continues to be in limbo.
"According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter Milan are keen on signing the Denmark international this summer.Inter are said to have contacted Chelsea about the availability of Christensen as they look to improve their defence ahead of the new season.Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to watch Christensen over pre-season to determine whether he’s ready to break into his first-team plans."

Christensen has just returned after a thoroughly successful two year loan spell in Germany. Playing with Borussia Monchengladbach, the defender established himself as a regular starter for a competitive Bundesliga team. Moreover, he got a taste of Champions League football as well.
Pundits and fans alike have touted him as a future defensive star. In fact, many Blues fans have called for Antonio Conte to hold back on signing a new centre-back. Christensen is ready to step into the first team, they believe.
However, as is the usual Chelsea way, that seems unlikely. The club have been linked with a number of defenders such as Leonardo Bonucci and Virgil Van Dijk. While deals for those specific players may no longer seem viable, the evidence suggests that a big defensive name is on the Conte’s list.
Given Christensen’s development over the last two years and the amount of football he has enjoyed, bench-warming would severely harm him. The Dane must continue testing himself against quality opposition on a regular basis. If Chelsea are not able to offer him that opportunity, he must move for the good of his career.
This is yet another sad realisation of the prospects for Chelsea youngsters. Having just won the Premier League, there is little reason to change the formula either.
