Chelsea must jump at £70 million Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Chelsea have reportedly been offered Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £70 million. Given their dire situation, the Blues must jump at the chance to sign the Gabonese striker.
Romelu Lukaku is a Manchester United player and Chelsea are still scrambling to find a replacement for Diego Costa. Now, they have reportedly been handed a gift on a silver platter. A deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seemed far from possible, but Borussia Dortmund have offered him to the Blues for £70 million.
Sky Sports claim that the Gabonese striker is available for sale, with the Germans looking for a hefty fee.
"Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £70m, according to Sky sources."

After the spectacular Lukaku failure, attention has turned to players like Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti. There have been a few whispers about Aubameyang, but a variety of factors rendered a deal unlikely.
However, he is now being served up on a plate for Chelsea. Aubameyang will probably be keen on a Premier League move and the Blues appear to be the only English club with any sort of interest.
Some may be skeptical of the £70 million price tag, but what option do Chelsea have? They were willing to spend a similar amount of money on Lukaku and Aubameyang is also a proven goalscorer.
With Diego Costa not in Antonio Conte’s plans, the Blues need to give their new striker time to assimilate. Pre-season training is already underway and the Premier League campaign starts earlier than you would think in August.
A lack of decisiveness saw Lukaku go to Old Trafford and is evidently wreaking havoc with the Tiemoue Bakayoko pursuit. Chelsea must finally take action and do this deal. Morata and Belotti will not come much cheaper and more haggling will be required in negotiations. Dortmund have revealed what price they want for Aubameyang, so just offer it.
Such a deal may also have knock-on effects. Bakayoko, for example, may take encouragement from the transfer as a concrete sign of the club’s ambition.
