While Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata are due to join Chelsea in Singapore, Antonio Conte is hoping that another new man will also fly out.
Chelsea are making slow and steady progress in the transfer window, but time is running out. The Blues have signed Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata, but reinforcements are still needed in the wingback slots. While two out of the three signings will link up with the squad in Singapore, Antonio Conte has dropped hints that another new player could join them.
"In Singapore, Rudiger and Morata will arrive, maybe someone else. I hope. I know very well that the club is working strong, very hard to try to make me the best way to work. – via Daily Mail"
The Blues have been trailing a number of wingbacks with Alex Sandro and Danilo being strongly linked with a West London move. However, Manchester City have swooped in and stolen the latter, confirming the deal on Sunday morning.

Chelsea are running out of options as the Premier League season draws near. Who could this potential arrival be? Alex Sandro appears to be the most likely candidate based on transfer rumours and reports. Antonio Candreva, meanwhile, is another star that the club are seemingly keen on.
Whoever it is, Conte’s comments portray a man who is cautiously optimistic. Fans have been panicking throughout the window due to an apparent lack of urgency from club management. However, Chelsea have ultimately delivered with the three major signings thus far. If Conte has confidence in the work being put in behind the scenes, fans should do likewise.
The Blues only require one more signing before they can deem themselves ready for the new season. The heavier schedule requires a bigger and deeper squad. Concerns have been addressed in midfield and up front. Even the defence has been bulked up despite it not being wholly necessary.
Now, the last piece of the jigsaw is a direct competitor for Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses. While Kenedy can deputise when needed, the incumbent duo need someone who can challenge them immediately for a starting berth. This will keep them on their toes and raise their game.
