3. Moussa Dembele – Ajitesh Rasgotra

Moussa Dembele is on a path to become one of Europe’s leading strikers. Since joining Celtic from Fulham, the Frenchman has developed well and looks primed to make an impact at a bigger club.

Brendan Rodgers has been adamant that Dembele will be with the Bhoys this season. However, Dembele is a doubt for Celtic’s Champions League qualifier against Rosenborg due to injury. Cynics, though, are pointing towards interest from Marseilles as the real reason.

Despite Celtic’s history, the current state of Scottish football means that they are a selling club. For an ambitious player like Dembele, the opportunity of joining Chelsea will be too good to turn down.

A sensible offer from the Blues will force Celtic to yield. Then it is all about presenting a clear plan and direction to the 21-year-old. Given his career choices thus far, the striker seems to have surrounded himself with smart people. He won’t join Chelsea unless his career path is attractively laid out.

The Blues already have Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi. Tammy Abraham is also on loan. However, the long-term future of the latter two remains in doubt. Moreover, if he fulfills his potential, Dembele will be better than Batshuayi and Abraham put together.

The Frenchman’s value will only increase, so the Blues should look to get him early.
