Chelsea close to Renato Sanches deal as Nemanja Matic nears exit
Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches while Nemanja Matic gets nearer to the Stamford Bridge exit.
Rumours linking Renato Sanches with a Chelsea loan switch are growing in strength with each passing day. The latest reports claim that the Blues will bow to Bayern Munich’s demands. This is good timing, too, as Nemanja Matic is apparently on the verge of signing a Manchester United contract.

The midfielder impressed against Chelsea in their pre-season friendly clash. His performance only proved that he would be a youngster worth taking a chance on. Fortunately, the Blues management team agree.
The arrival of Sanches may speed up the evolution towards the 3-5-2 formation. That system is believed to be the holy grail for Antonio Conte. The dynamism in the midfielder’s play makes the set-up more plausible.
The development in this transfer saga comes at a good time as well. Nemanja Matic is apparently on the verge of sealing his Manchester United switch. The Serbian’s departure creates a space in the first team squad. While optimistic fans will be hoping for an academy graduate to fill the void, Sanches is more likely.
Sanches would give Conte four realistic starting options in the middle of the park. With N’Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas, the Bayern man would provide the boss with a varied range of midfield partnerships.
