Chelsea limp into Wembley to face Tottenham Hotspur. For many Blues fans, a draw is an optimistic outcome.

Tottenham Hotspur probably can not believe their luck that they are playing against a Chelsea side without Eden Hazard. With Hazard and Cesc Fabregas out of the lineup, the Blues will struggle to create scoring opportunities. With Gary Cahill also out, the back-line is more porous than usual.

Forgive us if we struggle to go into this fixture with an upbeat attitude so try to be optimistic when voting for your winner below.

Travis Tyler: 1 – 1. The Blues are barebones and will not be looking to open themselves up while Spurs will be too relaxed in the face of a weakened opponent at a new stadium. Harry Kane will open the scoring, but will be matched almost immediately by an Alvaro Morata giving the Spurs defense fits.

Abhishek Pancholi: Tottenham 1 – 2 Chelsea. Going out on a limb here, but Wembley will prove to be Spurs’ undoing yet again. As is the norm these days, Chelsea will concede first, somehow make it to half-time only one goal down and come out all guns blazing in the second half. Spurs will crack under the relentless Chelsea pressure, allowing Morata to notch a brace on his first start for the club.

Daniel Mcclue: 2 – 0. First game of the season to get the nerves rushing. Tottenham also have injuries to their squad, so maybe Chelsea shouldn’t be complaining too much. Harry Kane scores a brace early on and Chelsea struggle to get back into the game without Eden Hazard. Tiemoue Bakayoko makes his debut and looks brilliant, as he and N’Golo Kante make up the best midfield pairing in the history of football.

Scott Brant: 0 – 2. Chelsea somehow, some way emerge from Wembley with an easy win. Tottenham fail to capitalize on a weakened Chelsea squad, as they continually underachieve. Morata scores both goals. Willian nabs both assists.

Barrett Rouen: 3 – 1. I’d like to say 1-0 Chelsea out of a sense of pure and genuine hope, but I see this going 3-1 to Spurs.  Eden Hazard is the best player in the league but he is not playing. Three of the next six best play for Spurs in Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane. Nothing good here.

George Perry: 4 – 1. The game will be ugly. The subsequent week of hot takes and unsourced rumours about Antonio Conte’s imminent sacking amid the panicky emergency crisis at Stamford Bridge will be excruciating. Wake me up – if not when September ends – at least in time for the next game.
