8. Chelsea v Arsenal, October 2014

Costa made a blistering start to his Chelsea career, hitting the back of the net regularly in the first few games. The new striker would deliver the goods in October’s big clash with Arsenal as well. Cesc Fabregas, also in his first Blues campaign, showed off his long-range passing skills. The ball went over the top to a marauding Costa. A fantastic touch with his chest set the ball up perfectly to be lifted over Wojciech Szczesny’s head.

The eventual 2-0 win would extend Chelsea’s unbeaten start to seven games and put them five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
