Chelsea continue their Champions League campaign against the many familiar faces of Atletico Madrid. Here are our predictions for the game!

Fernando Torres, Felipe Luis, Thibaut Courtois and some other guy people won’t stop talking about are among the players who have worn both Blue and rojiblanco in recent years. The two sides last met in the Champions League in 2014, and each bring their own momentum to the game.

Kevin Peacock: Atletico 1 – 1 Chelsea. Neither side wants to lose his one. A tight, cagey affair ends in a 1-1 draw with a goal in each half. Alvaro Morata continues his recent goal-fest, heading the equaliser mid-way through the second half. Meanwhile, up in the stands, Diego Costa receives a hero’s welcome from the home fans, as those in the away end show muted disrespect.

Scott Brant: 1 – 1. Atletico are always organized defensively, and very tough to break down. A somewhat boring match, so much so that FoxSports figured “to hell with it, let’s not even televise it.” Chelsea get a point and look forward to Manchester City at the weekend.

Travis Tyler: 2 – 2. Both teams recognize that this match could be the difference between first and second in the group, so they start cautiously before all hell breaks lose. The second half will see four goals, Costa will snarl in the stands, and Conte and Simeone will have the most epic handshake at the end that the world has ever seen.

Barrett Rouen: 1 – 2. Chelsea somehow come out victors over an Atletico team that is weaker than it has been in years. Their recent results flatter them but they’re feeling the weight of their ban. Chelsea are one of heir first real tests this year and the boys gain momentum for Saturday.

Elkebir Lamrani: 3 – 4. You read that right. Expecting Chelsea to get a good hold on Antoine Griezmann, which will free up Saul to get goals and maybe Diego Godin on set pieces. But overall, Chelsea looks stronger.

Daniel Mcclue: 2 – 0.  In their new stadium Atletico set out to impress. They dominate the game as Chelsea struggle. Thibaut Courtois forgets who he plays for and scores and own goal. Carrasco scores after a great dribble and I cry myself to sleep.

Vishnu Raj: 1 – 2, maybe 2 – 1. Atletico will try to win their first European match at the new stadium. This will be another level of big test for Chelsea. First of two big matches in four days. Conte will be eager for Chelsea to not lose control of the match.

Next: Chelsea will contend with Atletico's homegrown midfielders Saul and Koke
