EDEN HAZARD. 10. The only way to understand and appreciate Eden Hazard’s performance is to watch the game over and over again. No adjectives or stats can come close. We’ll give you some here shortly, just so you don’t go home empty-handed, but this is the Eden Hazard who will win the Ballon d’Or if Belgium win the World Cup.
Nine shots – Newcastle had eight. All of Newcastle. Scored a Panenka, on Antonin Panenka’s birthday. On track for career-best goal-scoring seasons in Premier League and Champions League despite missing early games with injury.
. 10. Belgium

8. This may have been the most straight-forward goal Morata has scored yet. Victor Moses rifled in a cross, Morata headed it with so much power it nearly flew out the back to the net. The downside to the game was that Morata appears to be gaining a reputation for going down too easily, as even blatant, obvious, non-partisan fouls against him are going uncalled.
Three shots, three key passes and four dribbles to go with his ninth Premier League goal.
. 9. Spain. ALVARO MORATA

WILLIAN . N/A. Chelsea were already on cruise control when Willian came on. He kept it lively for a few minutes and tried to add to his run of good form at Newcastle’s expense, and then settled in until the final whistle.. 22. Brazil

N/A. His hair’s not blue anymore.. 14. France. TIEMOUE BAKAYOKO

8. Normally a player that comes on in the 80′ automatically receives an ‘N/A,’ but Cahill made a solid play in his short time on the pitch. Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy flew past Cesar Azpilicueta and Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Gary Cahill was the last man back. Cahill forcibly redirected Murphy and the ball from the centre of the pitch to the touchline. Murphy went to ground at the end of the battle, partly from Cahill’s physical play and partly in a last-ditch attempt to regain possession. Cahill maintained possession and nearly kept the ball in-bounds with some sharp footwork and balance. For a puzzling substitution, he earns his rating.. 24. England. GARY CAHILL
