Can Chelsea recover from Saturday’s West Ham loss and win away at Huddersfield? Our writers seem to think so! Here are the predictions for Tuesday’s game.
Barrett Rouen: 3-0 Chelsea. Chelsea were embarrassed by West Ham and they know that. Simply not accepted again.
Abhishek Pancholi: 4-0 Blues. Huddersfield will be the victims of a Blues backlash. It won’t be pretty.
Daniel McClue: 6-3. The Premier League has gone a bit wild recently and it’s about time Chelsea joined in on the act. In a classic match Michy Batshuayi proves his status as the Blues’ hero, scoring four goals and assisting the other two – one for Hazard and one for Rudiger.
Travis Tyler: 4-0. Huddersfield have been better than the table shows but still get smacked by the big teams. A rotated Chelsea will have a point to prove and do what must be done.
Hugo Amaya: 2-0. The Blues will dominate the entire game but only manage two goals out of 20 chances. Conte will say he is pleased but inside he’ll be worried about the lack of finishing in the team.
Kevin Peacock: 2-1. The time has come for the Blues to step up their game, but unfortunately they can’t as they’re all too tired. Conte swaps the half time oranges with Red Bull (other caffeine-based drinks are available) and they storm to a 2-1 win.
Ollie Miller: 0-0. I think I’ve given up hope this season. If they can’t beat West Ham, they shouldn’t beat Huddersfield either. Christmas Scrooge, I know.
Shivansh Sareen: 3-2. Chelsea look to have banished their weekend Blues by getting a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes after goals from Willian and Pedro but Huddersfield fight back in the second half to make it 2-2 as Chelsea’s complacency shines through once again. Late on, an own goal earns the Blues three very unusual points.
Scott Brant: 3-2. Not sure what to predict at the moment. This feels like a crossroads for the Blues. Hope they respond in a manner that shows they care for their coach and club. N’Golo Kante with a huge match, as he is currently the only one I can trust.
