Predictions for Chelsea’s Boxing Day clash with Brighton
Chelsea welcome Brighton to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday in a Boxing Day affair. Will the Blues get back to winning ways? Here are our predictions!
Scott Brant: 2-1. Chelsea win because a loss after Christmas just isn’t acceptable. Brighton may put up a slight fight, since most teams against Chelsea suddenly get their stuff together. Morata with TWO headed goals from literally a million crosses into the box.
Travis Tyler: 3-0. Brighton have been very good at keeping all their matches tight which may be enough to keep them up when all is said and done. But Chelsea are going to be full strength, angry, and at the Bridge on Boxing Day. The massive number of shots they have been creating will yield goals this time.
Barrett Rouen: 2-1. The boys get Morata back and so don’t look like as much of a lost cause as they did against Everton. Clean sheets are the enemy this season, however, and they concede at the death to a meat and potatoes header.
Daniel McClue: 2-0. Chelsea are struggling for goals at the moment and a game against Brighton will probably go exactly how you’d expect it to. Hazard magic will save them again. Morata will only start scoring again once he sorts his hair out, it’s lowkey terrible.
Abhishek Pancholi: 4-0. After the disappointment against Big Sam’s Everton, Brighton will turn out to be cannon fodder for Morata and co. With a striker capable of putting the ball in the net, expect Chelsea to finally convert some of the dozens of chances they seem to create at will.
Kevin Peacock: Chelsea come out fighting on Boxing Day, after being unable to buy a goal at Everton. The return of Morata inspires the win that is required to keep up the pressure on Jose, and ward off Liverpool and the North London teams. Chelsea to win 2-0. Morata and Alonso with the goals.
Shivansh Sareen: Chelsea win 3-1. Morata x2, Hazard x1, Murray for Brighton from the spot.
Next: Blues standing still as league races forward
