Chelsea face off against Bournemouth in an awkward deadline day clash. Can they end a terrible run of form in January with a win?

Chelsea continue their push for top four as the host Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth. The Cherries are always a tricky team for anyone to play. The match becomes even more tricky with loans and transfers pulling the strings. Our predictions of how Chelsea will cope.

Barrett Rouen: Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth. Chelsea have been particularly weak as pertains to their endurance this season. Having played against Newcastle on Sunday the blues are not going to be sharp.  Probably pull it out on the back of a strong home atmosphere.  Bournemouth are in a good bit of form at the moment though and this could easily go 2-1 in the other direction.

Travis Tyler: 3-1. Chelsea managers not named Jose Mourinho actually have a perfect winning record against Bournemouth and Eddie Howe. But clean sheets are rare against the Cherries and the match will look a lot like the Newcastle one but with a silly, late consolation goal.

Abhishek Pancholi 4-0. This will be a ruthless demolition of Bournemouth to end the transfer window on a high. Hazard will grab a couple to add to an early goal from one of the defenders. Sticking my neck out to predict a clean sheet here.

Scott Brant 2-1. The blues limp to an overwhelming victory, grasping for three points in the final minutes. The match will be ugly and frustrating. Alonso winner.

Ollie Miller 1-1. An opportunity to kick on after an easy Newcastle game is squandered by Chelsea. Similar to the game against Arsenal, an early goal is followed by a drop in performance. Bournemouth grab an equaliser on the break in the second half and see out the draw.

Dan McClue 0-0. In protest against letting Batshuayi leave, the Chelsea players go on strike. Refusing to score and looking altogether disjointed and unthreatening – you know, like before Batshuayi started starting.

Shivansh Sareen 2-0. Hazard and Michy score.
