Chelsea welcome Hull City to Stamford Bridge, the permanent home of three mainstays of Hull’s defence. This will set the Blues up for a crucial but enjoyable romp through the FA Cup.

If Chelsea can defeat the 20th team in the Premier League 3-0, simple maths say they can defeat the 21st team in the Championship by 6? 7? 9 goals? That’s how this works, right?

Youth squad or not, and without stepping on our toes with overconfidence, we predict a high-scoring and enjoyable affair for the Blues in the FA Cup before a weekend of anxiety ahead of the Champions League.

Abhishek Pancholi: Chelsea 4 – 0 Hull City. The visitors will be without most of their first choice defence, thanks to Chelsea’s ownership of said defenders. Despite Conte’s encouraging words about playing Callum Hudson-Odoi and gang, they will probably stay on the bench while the big guns do a bit of target practice. Should be an easy game, even though Chelsea seem to have developed a habit of making weaker sides look like peak Barcelona.

Daniel Mcclue: 9 – 0. Chelsea pin Hull back for the entirety of the game. Ethan Ampadu is a rock in the centre of defence, Danny Drinkwater and Cesc Fabregas pull off a passing masterclass and Callum Hudson-Odoi scores four while setting up Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud for two goals each. <Sticks hand into hat> annnd Emerson gets the ninth.

Hugo Amaya: 2 – 0. A conservative game for the Blues given the line up. However, two defensive mistakes will be enough for Chelsea to win the game. The young players will win Conte’s trust and the senior players will look to get in good form for the big Barca night. Conte smiles at the end of the game. The fans chant his name. Everyone is happy and ready (panicking) for the UCL.

Barrett Rouen: 5 – 0. Chelsea play more youth than usual, and are better for it as there is less room for the usual group of tool-downing, complaining, overpaid brats. That said, Chelsea need to guarantee a result. Willian plays – as he deserves to – and is very influential and scores. Conte to get sacked for being too logical and decent.

Scott Brant: 3 – 0. The FA Cup is huge for the Blues. Whether the starters or youth get the most time, they should win with ease regardless, dominating possession and scoring chances. Excited to see Antonio Conte’s expressions, body language, and mood. Hoping he gets back to the exuberant Conte the fans all love.

Ollie Miller: 2 – 0. Maybe not your typical walkover. A couple of scary moments but an overall good performance from the Blues. Expecting another assured performance from Ethan Ampadu.

Vishnu Raj: 3 – 0. It seems a match Chelsea should win. Considering Hull’s three important defenders are Chelsea loanees, they will not be playing. Things looks good for the Blues. Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi will be eager to show their worth yet again.
