Bold predictions for Chelsea’s and the Premier League’s 2018/19 season
Where will Chelsea finish in all four competitions?
Brant: PL- fourth, FA Cup-finalist, League Cup-champion, Europa League-champion
Hofmann: PL-fourth, FA Cup-semifinals, League Cup-quarterfinals, Europa League-champion
McClue: PL-fourth, FA Cup-quarterfinals, League Cup (or whatever it is called now)-champion, Europa Leauge-quarterfinal.
McDonnell: PL-fourth, FA Cup-semifinals, League Cup-fifth round, Europa League-finalist.
Pancholi: PL-third, FA Cup-champions, League Cup-semifinals, Europa League-champions
Peacock: PL-second, FA Cup-champions, League Cup-quarter finals, Europa League-champions. If 2017-18 was poor, Chelsea are serial winners (a good season generally follows a poor one). With team morale restored, back Chelsea for some success.
Rouen: PL-fifth, FA Cup-semifinals, League Cup-champions, Europa League-semifinals which they will take too seriously and will play a part in there missing the Champions League. Again.
Tyler-PL-third, FA Cup-champion, League Cup-quarterfinals, Europa League-quarterfinals
Which player will surprise the most?
Brant: Kepa. The young keeper will not only make you forget that other guy that I can not even say his name, but he will excite you for the future.
Hofmann: Ethan Ampadu is secretly Chelsea’s best centerback.
McClue: I may have been a year early on this prediction so I am going to recycle my one from last year: N’Golo Kante will score 10 plus goals in all competitions.
McDonnell: I just realized during the Lyon game that Ross Barkley was on Chelsea and I always liked him a great deal.
Pancholi: A Ross Barkley who is fit and firing on all cylinders will turn out to be an absolute bargain, ending up with 10 plus goals in the league.
Peacock: Ross Barkley has a phenomenal season after Sarri nurtures and coaxes the best out of him. After Everton nearly ruined him, he responds in spades.
Rouen: Ethan Ampadu is going to show how much better than Andreas Christensen he is already or that Kepa really does turn out to be the player I am hopeful he can become and we are able to forget about Thibaut Courtois who will ruin his career in Real Madrid.
Tyler: Pedro has looked a man reborn and looks more like his Barcelona self than ever. Even if he does not start the season as the starter, he will take command of the role by Christmas and have a 15+ goal season, pushing Willian out in the process.
