Three games give us the slate for FanDuel’s EPL ToePoke, with two current and two former Chelsea players offering the best chance of points.

With only three matches to choose from for the Sunday EPL ToePoke contest, it’s going to be tough. Each player selected will need to produce, as points are harder to come by with fewer matches. The odds of other entires having the same players as you goes up because there are fewer to chose from. Two Blues in this week’s lineup, and a pair of ex-blues, both of whom Jose Mourinho sent away from Chelsea and now are at Manchester United with him.

Alvaro Morata, FWD, Chelsea: 9,000

Picking Alvaro Morata can seem like taking your wallet out and chucking it into the river. Morata had some really good chances against Manchester United last week. He didn’t take them very well, but nonetheless. This week Chelsea need him to step up and score. Eden Hazard is a doubt and, even if he plays, he surely won’t be 100%. I keep picking Alvaro Morata in hopes he breaks out with a multi-goal game.

Romelu Lukaku, FWD, Manchester United: 12,000

The big man had three fantasy points last week versus Chelsea, but that was at Stamford Bridge. Everton are heading to Old Trafford, and I like the Belgian to give it to his former team, especially since he failed to do so against Chelsea. Also, Lukaku hasn’t done anything in his last four Premier League matches, which might be why the Manchester club has only won one of their last four.

Richarlison, MID, Everton: 8,000

I don’t have much of a reason for picking Richarlison, obviously besides the fact he’s really talented. But the matchup isn’t necessarily the best, and he hasn’t been in his best form. This was the last position I filled and with the remaining salary he was one of the best options. Maybe Joringho would do better here, but not sure he gets a goal or an assist.

Alex Iwobi, MID, Arsenal: 7,500

Iwobi looked really good in his last Premier League match versus Leicester City, even if the stats don’t necessarily reflect it. This Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace match should be open and exciting. This may be one of those selections that can help you separate from the pack, as not many entires will have Iwobi included. Let’s hope it doesn’t bite you in the end.

Juan Mata, MID, Manchester United: 7,500

Mata was a huge part of why Manchester United almost beat Chelsea last week. Clearly Anthony Martial’s finishing was the main reason they almost won, but Mata did a lot of the dirty work getting the ball into the final third, making the pass before the pass that is an assist. I expect Everton’s midfield to struggle with Manchester United’s, allowing Mata to make some key passes and create chances.

Lucas Digne, DEF, Everton: 5,500

Over his last two matches Digne has created four chances, completed over twenty passes, drew five fouls and made six tackles. The guy does it all, covering all the stats. Over his last six matches he’s averaged 19 fantasy points – his output is extremely consistent. Against United he’ll have chances to produce points at both ends. He’s also a player a lot of entires won’t have, with the likes of Marco Alonso, Patrick Van Aanholt, and Ben Mee available.

Mamadou Sakho, DEF, Crystal Palace: 5,000

This may be the first time I’ve ever selected Mamadou Sakho, mostly because he has a knack to get sent off. The reason for picking him is he has to face Arsenal. Clearances and tackles should be his main source of points, and with Arsenal probably doing most of the attacking, he could easily get 20 points.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, GK, Chelsea: 5,500

I have said in the past Chelsea have the best chance to keep a clean sheet, and they have continued to prove me wrong. With four Premier League clean sheets, they have good odds to get another against a stagnate Burnley squad.

Chelsea’s defense hasn’t been the best, so Kepa could be called upon to make some saves, which is only added points. Just hope one doesn’t go in.
