A roundup of the best Pride of London articles as Chelsea cools down from Sheffield Wednesday and warms up for Bournemouth.

In the famous words of Ferris Bueller, “life moves pretty fast”. So as Chelsea bounce from match to match, it is easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle. That is where this round up comes in. What was the aftermath of the Sheffield Wednesday victory? How is Chelsea gearing up for Bournemouth in the Premier League? And what else is going on?

Cooling down from Sheffield Wednesday

Barrett started the week off as he normally does: smashing through the red tape in his low key pursuit of becoming the Chelsea technical director. He asks what can be learned from Chelsea’s recent cup wins.

George set out to highlight that while Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi started against Wednesday, it was more out of damage control and less out of rotation.

But George was not done yet, as he then shifted gears to cool some of the “Sarrismo is back!” takes. Chelsea is great at possessing the ball, but not so great at actually doing anything with it as opponents more or less know the game plan.

Warming up for Bournemouth

Travis predicts that Maurizio Sarri’s new first choice lineup will get the run out against Bournemouth. How long they remain first choice depends on how the match goes. But there is one new starter that is sure to please many Chelsea fans on social media.

Travis also gives his view on Eddie Howe’s tactics as he tries to hide his man crush for the English manager. Does Howe have a special trick up his sleeve, or will Sarri get the best of him once again?

And Mason makes his case for this being Emerson’s club now. Well, at least in the leftback spot over Marcos Alonso.

The elephants in the room

Hudson-Odoi has dominated Chelsea coverage this week and rightfully so. The kid has clearly “got it” and the Blues are desperate to hold on to him despite his transfer request and Bayern Munich’s nudging, poking, and prodding.

Vishnu believes both sides of the story have strong points but the case for “stay” remains the stronger one. Hudson-Odoi’s chances are coming, but it is not as clear cut as just that.

Pride of London apologizes ahead of time if the title of Hugo’s article gets a song stuck in your head all day. But Hugo feels that the club waited too long to start courting Hudson-Odoi.

And Travis rounds out the game by game by trying to unpack the complicated deputy regista issue. Both sides have strong points but they both are also risky stances to take.

Question(s) to think on from Bournemouth to Huddersfield

Does Chelsea make a late run at the transfer market for reinforcements? Do they see some late departures to make room? And what will come of the transfer ban rumors resurfacing?

As always, head over to Twitter with questions, comments, or some light trolling.
