Chelsea hope to confirm their place in the Europa League semifinal by finishing off Slavia Praha at Stamford Bridge. Here are our predictions.

Two Premier League teams will be in the semifinals of the Champions League, and Chelsea are on the verge of doing their part to put two Premier League teams in the semifinals of the Europa League. The Blues should have few issues getting through this tie and looking ahead to their next opponent.

Olaoluwa Nwobodo: Chelsea 3 – 0 Slavia Praha. Chelsea have looked better playing at home this season. They’ll be more comfortable, and no, they still would not be fun to watch. Oliver Giroud to score, once again showing what actual strikers should be doing. People are asking if Maurizio Sarri should play his “Best XI” or the “B Team.” They do not realise how little the difference in quality is between these mind-created lineups.

Gabe Henderson: 3 – 1. Slavia Praha are hungry for a result. They’ll fight their fiercest battle, but Chelsea are too good for them. The youngsters will shine and Chelsea will get through rather easily. The Blues cannot afford to go out of the Europa League. However, Slavia Praha won’t leave the English capital without a goal to show for their efforts.

Scott Brant: 2 – 0. I can’t honestly think Chelsea will blow anybody out, or expect exactly what a superior team should do when their opponent are at a disadvantage in talent. I am still hoping they do blow Slavia out, but its just not realistic these days under Sarri. With a few injury concerns the match may be a bit ugly at times – no surprise. They get the job done, which in the end is all that matters. Callum Hudson-Odoi is due for a goal, along with Giroud.

Abhishek Pancholi: 2 – 1. If Maurizio Sarri cannot navigate a passage to the next round against Slavia Praha, he needs to lay off the cigarettes for a bit and take a good look at himself. Fortunately for Chelsea, Olivier Giroud will ensure a victory by scoring a brace.

Slavia Praha will take the lead, leaving the home crowd in stunned silence. Chelsea will eventually be able to recall the basics of football and they’ll start playing around the 30 minute mark. Giroud’s first goal will be right before half-time and he will seal the win in the 80′.

Next. Olivier Giroud does not want to be anyone's backup. dark

Barring a catastrophic series of mistakes, or David Luiz having one of those days, Chelsea will go through.
