Frank Lampard’s substitutions turned the game in Chelsea’s favor, with Jorginho and Tariq Lamptey complementing more top performances from Willian and Cesar Azpilicueta.

Chelsea came out on top in the last game of the decade, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t frustrating. Everyone deserves credit for the massive come back, including Frank Lampard. Here are some ratings from Sunday’s game against Arsenal.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Goalkeeper: 6.5

We can hardly fault him for conceding a goal since it was such a close-range header. Aside from that, he did not have much to do in the game. Arrizabalaga came off his line a couple of time to get the ball and save the team, and he distributed passes without fail.

Antonio Rudiger, Center back: 8

Rudiger was the commander of the back line by covering most of everyone’s mistakes. His positioning and strength were second to none, therefore not allowing the Arsenal offensive line to make much damage.

However, like Kurt Zouma, he could have done better with his passing. But since his job is to keep the ball away from the Chelsea area and not assist, he gets a decent enough rating.

Kurt Zouma, Center back: 7

A solid performance by the Frenchman in defense, not so much in passing. While most of the team relied on the center backs to put in some good passes and break through the Arsenal midfield, Zouma did not deliver many of them. Most of his passes were intercepted or left the midfielders in a tight position.

But what he lacked in passing he made up in covering spaces and tackling. His partnership with Rudiger was solid and both can look back satisfied with themselves.

Fikayo Tomori, Center back: 6.5

Perhaps not the youngster’s best performance but it was not all his fault. Tomori often left his defensive duties to contribute with a direct attack but with no effect. When he was defending, he didn’t make much of an impact and relied on Kurt Zouma or Rudiger to cover for him.

After the change of formations he was Chelsea’s right back, and from there his lack of experience going forward led to his substitution.
