4. Coming back and putting it all together

When Chelsea returns for week two of the second break it will be time to put everything together. The players should be well rested physically and mentally and ready to push in one direction. The management should have analyzed the successes and failures of this season and they should have a solid plan to go forward. And the board should have a list in hand of who will strengthen the squad after all is said and done this season.

Chelsea returns for revenge against Manchester United on the seventeenth. Tottenham follows on the twenty second. Bayern Munich rounds out that first run on the twenty fifth. Another six matches, including Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and surely Liverpool, round out the rest of the time until the March international break.

It is a gargantuan run of games that will quite literally make or break the season. The work towards making it needs to be done on this break, both before coming back together and afterwards.

Chelsea has the capability of getting this right. But it will take work to reset and refresh over the next two weeks. That work should have already begun.
