3. Chelsea fans can still be optimistic

At this potentially season-defining stage of the Premier League campaign, losing a top-four six-pointer to Manchester United would undoubtedly cause much unrest amongst Chelsea fans, especially considering that Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur are the next visitors to Stamford Bridge in five days.

Yes, it was a damaging loss to United. But no team in the top half of the table, save for Sheffield United, have been particularly consistent.

With 12 games still to go in the season, a lot can change. More importantly, there remains room for Chelsea to maneuver themselves into a Champions League spot regardless of what happens in the upcoming game against Tottenham

Despite the results not always bring the most desirable, Frank Lampard’s Chelsea, in its infancy, have played some outstanding football and still have so much more to give. With players such as Hakim Ziyech on the horizon, there is always bigger and better things to look forward to in the future.
