Willian (Right winger): 6

Willian did not have much of an impact on this match. He, like the rest, seemed a bit slow on the ball and made some questionable decisions. Willian had a tough time getting good balls into the box as the quality of the passes were not like his usual self. Willian played what could have been his last match in a Chelsea uniform though, as he has yet to extend his contract short-term. If this was his last match, he did the club proud over his seven years.

Olivier Giroud (Striker): 7

Olivier Giroud had a relatively quiet first half. There were a couple of opportunities for him in the first 45 minutes, but not much came from them. The second half is where Giroud got going. He was set up well with the help of Mount’s scintillating passes and Azpilicueta’s delightful cross, which he finished. Giroud’s goal proved to be the winner for Chelsea as he scored yet another massive opportunity and proved his worth to Lampard.

Christian Pulisic (Left winger): 7.5

From the second Christian Pulisic came into the match for Loftus-Cheek, he impacted the match in a positive way. Minutes after coming on, Pulisic netted the equalizer on a nice cross from Azpilicueta. After that, he continued to do well in building up the attack. If Pulisic continues to impress, Chelsea should consider not buying another attacker this summer.

Tammy Abraham (Striker): N/A

Tammy Abraham had a quiet last 15 minutes of the match. He had one or two good chances, but did not receive the ball much after that.

Overall, the ratings of players were a bit up and down across the board. The performances of Pulisic, Mount, Giroud, Kante and Azpilicueta are what mainly led this team to victory. Lampard will likely rotate players out of the starting XI based on the team’s performance against Aston Villa with City’s tactics in mind.
