Willian (No. 10) Right winger, Brazil

Willian has 16 goal contributions for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, the second highest of any player in the squad. Further, he makes 2.1 key passes per game; good for first on the team. Willian has been even more consistent for Chelsea since the restart, earning him a spot at the table in the discussion of the Blues’ best player this season. He commands Chelsea’s front line with experience and adeptness, all while distributing passes and linking up play. His connection with Christian Pulisic is electric, so much so it’s difficult to keep the two out of the team.

Olivier Giroud (No. 18) Striker, France

You could just sit back and watch a compilation of Giroud’s goals and have it be entertainment at it’s finest. Giroud has proven over the course of last season and this season that he can get the job done any day against any opponent. He’s not the fastest player, even more so given his age, but he more than makes up for it with his other attributes. Giroud’s a world-class finisher, he’s excellent in the air and his positioning is second-to-none. Sheffield is going to be more interested in staying compact and that means Chelsea needs someone to play with his back-to-goal. Enter one of the best hold-up strikers in the world.

Christian Pulisic (No. 22) Left winger, United States

There’s no one else in the conversation to start over Pulisic at the moment. He has shown that he is going to be a star in the Premier League for a long, long time. His willingness to take on defenders and his direct style of playing almost reminds you of Eden Hazard, if Hazard was as direct. You have a case for Pulisic not starting aside from rest? I’d be interested to hear it.

Next. Chelsea needs to keep Kurt Zouma at all costs. dark
