Willian (No. 10) Right winger, Brazil

The renaissance of Willian is still somewhat outstanding, but not yet to the degree to give him the three year contract he wants. Two years is probably justified at this point but who knows when Willian hits that wall and it all falls apart. With Pedro persona non grata at the moment, the only way Willian comes out of the squad is if Callum Hudson-Odoi wakes up or Lampard moves a midfielder up.

Olivier Giroud (No. 18) Striker, France

Tammy Abraham still has all the potential shown earlier in the season. He is not suddenly a flop as many have been all too eager to claim. But he has also had his chances since the restart and he has been found lacking. Giroud has not necessarily been better, but he has a knack for improving the players around him. That is keeping the aging Frenchman on the field as he and Abraham have completely traded early season fortunes.

Christian Pulisic (No. 22) Left winger, United States

Pulisic steadily went from “American Willian” to “American Eden Hazard” over the course of the season with Lampard. He is even ticking the box of being absolutely run into the ground because he plays so well while people still get upset that he is subbed off from literally exhaustion. Hazard knows that play list well and Pulisic is truly following in his footsteps now.
