Right winger: Serge Gnabry, Bayern Munich

Serge Gnabry has already scored twice against the Blues this season. On top of this brilliant single-match performance, he terrorised Chelsea’s London neighbours—Tottenham—with a four-goal haul back in October. Overall, the former Arsenal man has scored 20 goals and 13 assists this season, another easy choice given how much he loves playing against rivals of his former English club.

Striker: Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich

Lewandowski is arguably the best player in the world right now, although we won’t officially know due to the cancellation of this year’s Ballon d’Or. The Polish No. 9 has scored 51 goals across all competitions this season—FIFTY ONE. I could leave it there and have to say no more about his selection, but here is another terrifying statistic; Lewandowski has scored in every Champions League game in which he’s featured (including one against Chelsea already). I repeat, best player in the world.

Left winger: Mason Mount, Chelsea

I’m probably being a little generous to Mount here, given he’s not a natural winger and the fact that Bayern boasts the likes of Kingsley Coman and Phillipe Coutinho. However, the young Englishman has had a stellar debut season in the top flight and that deserves rewarding. I’m having to play Mount out of his natural central position, but with seven goals and five assists to his name, he has more than enough creative ability to warrant his place in the side. Mount’s creative mind, durability and electric pace earn him the final spot in the XI.
